I interviewed a lot of people for this seminar and the Art was what Directors, VFX Supervisors and Producers was what they talked about the least.

  • Nancy and I worked together on Santa Clause 2 and I Robot, She has VFX produced many of the largest VFX Projects in the past 20 years.
Jerry Mollen
  • Producer - Other Side of Heaven
  • We shot on the Cook Island of Rarotonga over several months in 2001 so he got to know me pretty well. Jerry's other films include Rainman, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List and Minority Report. His assistant Chet is a good place to start.
Joe Dante
  • Director - The Hole
  • Joe directed The Hole, a stereo feature from Bold Pictures, in 2009. While he didn't always enjoy my stories, I believe he was very happy with my creative input and the look of the final film.

Long Form Television

Ed Bates
  • Creative Producer / Show Runner
  • Ed was the creative lead behind Fallen, a miniseries for ABC. We had some disagreements about where to put the limited resources, but in the final weeks before delivery he told me that he agreed with all of the decisions I made creatively and about how to run the show. You should talk to him.
Connie Dolphin
  • Line Producer
  • Connie line produced Dr. Dolittle 4 and 5, Slapshot, The Junior League and Flicka 2. We got on this run of direct to DVD projects that I could take my kids to that made for a very pleasant two years. The projects went very smoothly.
Alex Zamm
  • Feature and TV Director
  • Alex directed Beverly Hills Chihuahua Two and Dr. Dolittle 5 which we both felt went very well. Lots of talking animals, including the isolatinist monkey that was shot entirely on greenscreen. I also directed the animal unit. Alex would shoot the scene and major animal action out and then move on to the next scene. I'd stay behind and clean up the animal material.
